The Starry Nights Experience

Starry Nights is a magical illuminated Christmas event that brings a beautiful sprinkling of stardust to the festive season. It is an enchanting experience for all the family, bringing the spirit of Christmas and a whole wonderland of excitement from festive lights, lasers and captivating festive sound installations, to our famous Festive Food Village, interactive entertainers and our cosy Carols & Cocktails performances.

This December, Starry Nights is coming to Dean Castle, Kilmarnock and Beecraigs Country Park, West Lothian

As you arrive, you will be greeted by some of our jolly elves under our large welcoming and super glitzy and glittering Christmas garland-laced archway, before you meander on foot towards our ticketing teams through the Christmassy lit pathways and trees landscapes to sound of Christmas music.

Once through ticketing, you will continue along the fairy lit pathways where you will begin your Starry Nights journey. Our Festive Food Village will be bursting with atmosphere and sparkling with beautiful festive style, along with the hustle and bustle of our Christmas Funfair and magical Santa’s Grotto.

Will you see Santa’s sleigh overhead in the sky? Our bright sky-tracker lights will certainly be on the look out, with beams of light searching far and wide.

Immersive Trail

Join us this December for a truly unforgettable festive spectacular, and a feast for all the senses as Starry Nights invites you to embark on a thrilling trip through an immersive lighting trail this Christmas.

There’s so much to see and do for children and adults alike with Singing Trees, a magic Fairy Forest, Marshmallow Land, Candy Cane Lane, the North Star and even the mischievous Grinch, who you will find lurking within Who-Ville, deep into the woods.

Starry Nights this year is also host to Scotland’s longest fairy tunnels, magical immersive experiences that transport you into a land of sensory wonder – all to music.

Enjoy activating the show machines and snow-storm alarm bells at Snowball Blizzard, whilst throwing snowballs at our smiling snowman and his elf helper as they duck and dive through the trees.

Entertainment

Say hello to Tinsel the Elf, who is roaming the site, ready to entertain with magic tricks and jokes, and marvel at the troupe of roving entertainers including stilt walkers and frozen fairies.

All the fun of the fair also awaits with a range of rides suitable for everyone, with thrills for all the family, as well as something smaller for the little ones.

Note: The funfair rides are provided by a third party. The cost of these rides is in addition to your entry ticket.

Then grab your festive food and put your feet up, sit back and relax and enjoy the sparkling Christmas atmosphere in our covered Carols & Cocktails space, whilst listening to the soundtrack of Christmas carol classics.

Note: Live performances are on Saturday 7th Dec, 14th Dec, 21st Dec and Sun 22nd and Mon 23rd Dec.

For those who like to boogie, put on your dancing shoes and bop the night away with family and friends to our DJ’s Christmas favourites at the Starry Night’s famous Elf Disco.

The Festive Food & Drink Offerings

After being dazzled by the trail, adults can warm up with a glass of mulled wine while the kids tuck into a hot chocolate and donuts. Grab a bite to eat and indulge in a whole range of mouthwatering festive offerings at the food and drink village.

Everything from flame-fired pizzas, venison and beef burgers to sweet treats from churros to crepes, waffles and toasted marshmallows. We have something for everyone. Or how about chestnuts roasting on an open fire? It doesn’t get more Christmassy than that.

Santa Land & Grotto

Just imagine meandering through the North Pole and down Candy Cane Lane, before enjoying Reindeer Reflections and a spectacular glittering lighting scene as you pass by Lyric Lane and into Santa Land, where you can take a selfie at our North Star before finding where Santa’s Grotto resides.

Santa’s Grotto

The one thing not to be missed is a visit to Santa’s Grotto. He might be busy, but he has always got time to say hello. Pop in to check on Santa and his Elves as they prepare for the big day. Help the Elves get ready for Christmas as they still have lots to do, and of course there’s always a special gift from Santa for every child.

Note: The Grotto requires a ticket for each child in addition to the Starry Nights event ticket. You can buy your grotto tickets at the same time you are buying your Starry Nights tickets.

Starry Nights is so full of festive cheer, there is simply no better way to start the holiday festive season. Join us at Starry Nights and buy tickets now to avoid disappointment.
